Entry Requirements for B.E. & B.TECH Programmes
Other Communities (OC) :
Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 55% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
Backward Class Community (BC) of Tamil Nadu:
Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.
Most Backward Class Community (MBC) of Tamil Nadu:
Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.
SC/ST Community of Tamil Nadu:
Mere pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The Candidate should produce the Community Certificate duly signed by the Tahsildar.
Candidates from other states irrespective of their community are considered as OC (Other Community)
Lateral Entry – Direct to Second Year B.E./B.TECH
Other Communities (OC) :
Pass in 3-year Diploma examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of respective states in the relevant subjects with a minimum of 55% marks in the final year examination. Pass in any recognized bachelor’s degree in science of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics as a subject.
Backward Class Community (BC) of Tamil Nadu:
An aggregate of 50% marks in the final year diploma examination / Final yearB.Sc.degree course.
Most Backward Class Community (MBC) of Tamil Nadu:
An aggregate of 45% marks in the final year diploma examination / final yearB.Sc.degree course.
SC/ST Community of Tamil Nadu:
Merit pass is enough in Diploma Course / B.Sc. Degree course.

The J.N.N Merit Scholarship - TN Students
J.N.N Merit Scholarship (for TN students) is currently valued at more than Rs. 3,00,000 and is awarded to students with 170+ cut-off in their higher secondary examinations. Offered for eight semesters of full time study and covering entire tuition fees, transportation and food fees, this scholarship recognises achievement and represents our confidence in your ability to succeed in this unique academic environment. Our goal is to attract talented students committed to making a difference in the world, and partnering with them to make a J.N.N education a reality. Recipients of this scholarship should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and above throughout their course of study for the scholarship to continue.
The Alamelu Ammaal Memorial Scholarship - AP Students
Alamelu Ammaal Memorial Scholarship (for AP students) is currently valued at more than Rs. 3,00,000 and is awarded to students with the following criteria,
- 75% Scholarship for students with 95% and above in MPC
- 50% Scholarship for students with 90% and above in MPC
- 25% Scholarship for students with 80% and above in MPC

The J.N.N Lateral Entry Scholarship
Currently valued at more than Rs. 2,00,000, the J.N.N Lateral Entry Scholarship offers students a 50% concession in tuition, bus & food if their Diploma aggregate is above 75% and a 40% concession in tuition, bus & food if their Diploma aggregate is above 65%.
