About the Department

Mechanical Engineering is as old as human civilization with its beginning placed next to Stone Age; yet it is current and will remain current forever.  The department of Mechanical Engineering was   started in the year of 2009 and keeps pace with latest developments in Mechanical Engineering and allied fields. The department has a team of well qualified teaching staff, skilled technical staff and fully equipped laboratories. Our vision is to become one of the leading undergraduate mechanical engineering programs in the nation by offering a premier engineering design curriculum and by providing our graduates with a superior educational experience through teaching and learning, research and development, and service and responsibility.

To supplement the theoretical knowledge gained in Mechanics of Solids with practical testing for determining the strength of materials under externally applied loads. This would enable the student to have a clear understanding of the design for strength and stiffness

OBJECTIVES:

  • To expose students to modern control systems (Fanuc, Siemens etc.,)
  • To know the application of various CNC machines like CNC lathe, CNC Vertical Machining centre, CNC EDM and CNC wire-cut and studying of Rapid prototyping.
